Alyssa Frayling

Analyst, NSR Belgium

Ms. Frayling joined NSR as an analyst in 2017, and is based in Brussels, Belgium. Prior to joining the team, she completed her Masters of Space Studies (MSS) at the International Space University, where she worked on a variety of subjects, from satellite mission design and rocketry, to space law and contract negotiations. She was involved in a large team project researching how to apply space technology and applications to the CSR activities of oil and gas companies, with the final report being presented at the International Astronautical Congress in Adelaide, 2017, and her own individual report was on the purchasing power parity (PPP) of emerging space nations and their budgets.

As part of her MSS studies, Ms. Fraying interned at the Department of International Relations at DLR (the German Aerospace Center), where she analyzed the space capabilities and opportunities of African countries.

Before attending ISU, Ms. Frayling graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Management Sciences, from the University of Warwick, UK. She then went to work at the European Parliament in Brussels, as an Accredited Parliamentary Assistant to a Member of Parliament (MEP), where her role included working on Employment Committee reports and attending Sky and Space Intergroup events.
